Transition

Hi everyone,

I made the decision last week that my position with City House needed to be reduced to half time, in light of some funding challenges. I am in the early stages of grieving and could use your prayers.

I don’t have much energy for keeping up the blog right now. I know that my energy to engage in this again will return in God’s time. So, until then, please consider looking at all of the past blog posts and make some comments. I am notified whenever someone makes a comment and I promise to reply to any comments you choose to make.

God bless.

Tom

You are in my prayers. Even if things don’t work out at City House (and circumstances certainly change frequently, so it’s too soon to rule out eventual funding success!), I am really proud of you for following your moral compass and doing something you felt was right. It takes courage to follow that path, rather than the one that assures more money.

Now is a difficult economic time. Perhaps circumstances will change in the coming year, and people will feel more comfortable giving to charity.

    Love,
    Erik

Thank you for your prayers and support Erik. I have a great deal of confidence in City House’s long term success. I think our expanded mission and vision are exactly where City House needs to be and I fully believe they are possible.

My grieving is over the implications of funding for my own role at City House. I know that my own role is changing. I just don’t know how at the moment.

Your compassion is very much appreciated.
    Peace
